That’s why we’re breaking down the services we offer–from lived-In transformations, the variation of haircuts, and bleach retouches—and everything in between. By the end of this guide, you’ll have a clear understanding of what to expect from your next visit to the salon!
1. Lived-In Transformation: A Natural, Effortless Look
If you’re looking for a hair color that looks like it was naturally kissed by the sun, Lived-In Transformation might be just the service for you. This technique is all about creating low-maintenance, beautiful hair that doesn’t scream “I just got my hair colored” but still looks polished and put together.
A Lived-In Transformation typically uses a balayage or other hand-painted techniques, which focus on creating a soft, blended transition from the roots to the ends. This allows for a more natural regrowth pattern and less frequent touch-ups, making it ideal for those who want a hair color that requires minimal upkeep.
Once your lived-in transformation is complete, we do offer Lived-In Maintenance (best for clients who visit the salon 2/4x a year), where we’ll refresh any custom color work that needs to be done. This appointment includes includes all color mixtures, toning, root shadowing and haircut less than 1".
2. Hair Coloring
Hair color services are a staple of any salon visit, and they can range from something as subtle as a root touch-up to a full-on color transformation. Here’s a breakdown of some common coloring options:
Color Correction: Any large color change is considered a color correction. This could be removing box dye, taking your natural to a bright, blended blonde, going from blonde to brunette, brunette to copper, etc. This transformation does require a consultation.
Root and Run: If your natural color is starting to show, a root touch-up can quickly refresh your look by applying color to the roots to match the rest of your hair. This appointment typically takes less than an hour and does not include a blow dry or style.
Base Color: If you’re hoping to cover grays or grown out roots, and want the blow dry and style, this one’s for you.
All-Over Color: This is when one of our stylists applies one color from root to ends, whether it's a shade close to your natural color or a completely new hue.
Highlights: For added dimension, highlights involve lightening specific sections of hair, creating depth and contrast. Wildwood offers mini highlights (which are typically lightening around the face with money pieces), partial highlights (which includes around the face and some small pieces at the roots), half head highlights, and full head highlights (this includes brightening your entire head)
Bleach Retouch: A bleach retouch involves touching up roots with bleach to brighten up your scalp (this is not highlights).
4. Haircuts
Looking to cut off some length? Here’s what we can offer for you!
Pixie: To Wildwood, a pixie cut is usually very short on the sides with some length on the top. Because there are a couple of stylists in the salon who specialize in this cut, we want to make sure that you’re matched with the right stylist. If you’ve never been in the salon before, we highly suggest texting the salon with a photo so we can ensure that this is the right cut for you!
Short: Our short hair cuts are great for anyone with hair that sits at and/or is shorter than shoulder length.
Medium/Long: If your hair is below your shoulders or longer, this one’s for you!
Transformation Haircut: Sometimes you just need to switch things up and go for a drastic change. A transformation haircut is for anyone looking to cut over 6” inches off. Booking this just gives our stylist more time to get you at the perfect length.
6. Hair Treatments
Does your hair need a little TLC? These treatments help to nourish and restore hair that has been damaged by heat styling, color treatments, or environmental factors. Our available treatments include:
Strength: This specialty treatment is perfect for distressed, weak and brittle hair that needs some love. Includes a treatment, wash, rinse, blow-dry and heat style.
Moisture: Nourish dry hair with this smoothing, ultra hydrating treatment.
Everlasting Color: We want your color to last as long as possible, which is why this treatment is the great for anyone looking to revitalize and extend the life of their color.
7. Blowouts and Styling
After all the color and cutting is done, it’s time for the finishing touch—styling! Blowouts, curls, or sleek straight hair are all possible with the right styling techniques. A professional blowout can add volume, shine, and smoothness, making it a perfect option for a night out, a special occasion, or just a little self-care.
